Bill has been with Lanier Upshaw since 1993 and currently serves on the Board of Directors. Prior to joining Lanier Upshaw he worked as both a claims adjuster and claims manager. Subsequently he worked for a national insurance brokerage and formed a regional agency. Bill has earned his MBA as well as his Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), and Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designations.

Originally from Roslyn Heights, New York, Bill and his wife now live in St. Petersburg, Florida. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the West Tampa Boys and Girls Club and the Suncoast Utility Contractors Association. Bill is also involved in Rotary Club, the Tampa Chamber of Commerce, and the CPCU Society. His favorite quote is by Jack Welch, "Face reality as it is, not as it was or as you wish it to be."
