Lanier Upshaw

Deborah has spent her entire professional career in the insurance industry, joining Lanier Upshaw in 2001. She attended both Lee University and Polk State College. Deborah currently holds her Professional in Insurance Account Management (PIAM), and Certified Professional Insurance Woman (CPIW) designations. She is currently working towards obtaining her Associate in Personal Insurance (API), Certified Professional in Insurance (CPII), and Program in General Insurance (INS) designations.

Born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama Deborah grew up in Sumter, South Carolina and now resides in Winter Haven, Florida. She has two sons and two grandchildren, all of whom live in Tennessee. She is on the Board of Directors for both the Winter Haven Chamber Foundation and the Bridge Community Church. She is also actively involved with the Insurance Professionals of Polk County, is a Winter Haven Chamber Ambassador, and is the Winter Haven Chamber Business Women's Chairman. One of Deborah's favorite quotes is by Winston Churchill, "The pessimist sees difficulty in every opportunity. The optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty."
