Lanier Upshaw

Kathryn joined Lanier Upshaw's Private Client Group in 1998. She was recruited into the insurance industry while working for a car rental firm. She subsequently worked for a direct writer that sold property & casualty, employee benefits and personal lines before coming to Lanier Upshaw. Kathryn holds degrees in Organizational Business Management and in marketing. She has earned the designations of Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF), Registered Financial Consultant (RFC), and is currently working on the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designations.

Originally from Sioux City, Iowa, Kathryn is the oldest of six children, including her twin brother. She currently lives in Lakeland, Florida and serves on the following boards: Polk Education Foundation Board, Citrus Center Kiwanis and Womens Resource Center in Winter Haven. She is the past President Citrus Center Kiwanis Club. She is actively involved in the American Business Women's Association (ABWA), the Republican Club of Lakeland, Womens Republican club, Ambassador for Girls, Inc, Vice President of the National association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA), and a Chamber Champion with the Lakeland Chamber of Commerce. Her favorite quote is, "Alone we can do so little: together we can do so much."
