Schatzie joined Lanier Upshaw in 1995. She attended the University of South Florida and has degrees in both Marketing and Business Management. Schatzie currently holds her Group Benefits Associate (GBA) designation and her Professional in Human Resources (PHR) designation. She is currently working toward her Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation.

Originally from Saginaw, Michigan, Schatzie currently resides in Lakeland, Florida. She is currently the President of the Ridge Association of Health Underwriters (RAHU) and a member the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
